An Electronics Engineer from Bombay University, he joined the Indian Air-Force in the Telecommunication and Signal Unit as a Commissioned Officer, where he gained tremendous experience in the field of Networking and Communications. After working for 6 years with the Indian Air-Force, he worked with various organizations like HCL-COMNET and MOTOROLA, where he honed his expertise in Satellite Communications on such projects as National Stock Exchange's first Satellite based infrastructure.

Sanjay joined ZEE TELEFILMS and successfully implemented Networking projects for ZEE News, Internet over Cable and Hybrid Fiber Coaxial Network and the DTH project. He was instrumental in implementing India's first on-line lottery (Playwin Brand) network.
