Bruce Rider is a highly regarded television and new media senior executive with
over 25 years of experience in cable television and media industries. His expertise
in securing content and creating new content models is extensive.
Rider has worked for several major media companies, as well as smaller startups.
Many of his corporate positions include the licensing of content from studios and
independent film sources, for both domestic and international markets.
Rider worked with three different major media companies including Disney for 15
years as Sr Vice President of Programming of The Disney Channel, as well as, Disney
TeleVentures. While he worked at Disney Channel, profits grew over 20% every year
for his 10 years at the network. He was also Vice President of Film Acquisition
for Viacom’s Showtime/The Movie Channel. Early in his career he was Marketing Manager
for Columbia Pictures Pay Television division. His relationships and understanding
of the content licensing environment are substantial. Rider also was the first employee
at The Tennis Channel where he managed the launch of the television network and
was Executive VP of Programming and Marketing. Rider has an MBA from Ohio University.
